Shes dealing with the complete empty-nest syndrome, when the fresh neighbors next door start preventing, and the wife disappears. Pfeiffer is confident that hes murdered her and starts spying on the husband who will be now living alone in the house. Shortly after unusual things start happening around the Pfeiffer-Ford residence.

You understand, your common haunting type activities like doorways opening on their own, pictures falloff tables, radios switching upon at total blast, bathtubs filling independently, yadda, yadda, yadda. All this works and you simply could go through the tension building in the audience.
