The 2 teachers that were interviewed in this paper had been Victoria Arroyo, a 6th grade instructor from Brooklyn, New York, and Marcus Williams, a high institution history teacher that also lives in Brooklyn, New York. Mrs. Rivera was your first of the 2 interviews. Victoria Rivera wanted to become a teacher her entire life, and has achieved that objective by turning out to be one. She graduated which has a teaching degree from Brooklyn College, and has been educating in the New York City public university system as 1983.
Her main reason intended for becoming a tutor was because of past teachers. During the interview, she stated that she was impressed by teachers she experienced as a child. In addition, she added that as a children, she located it entertaining to play university while working away at her personal studies. I retained what I learned through role playing as a tutor, was one of her responses.
Marcus Williams was your second interview. He graduated from Seeker College, in Manhattan, and has been educating in New York City public high schools for about 6 years. When asked his major reason for to become teacher on how he responds was, There are a lack of positive African-American male professors in New York. I feel that small minority men especially African-Americans need great men numbers in their life in any case they can obtain it. Mister.
Williams likewise said that he feels teaching is essential for trying to offer young people very good education. Mrs. Rivera is generally a teacher that strongly likes you the students.

I i am very close to many of the players on the team, and at times I feel as though they look by me while an older good friend, and counselor, rather then yet another history teacher. Mrs.
Rivera was then asked what key teaching approaches does the lady use. In response she declared she believes hands on lessons, and student involvement was very crucial. She said that student engagement in class conversations often contributes to student interaction.
Students remember better when they talk about a topic themselves, instead of just taking notes. Mr. Williams happened to agree with Mrs. Rivera.
He said during his interview that in his classes there are many discussions about current events, and also the lessons. He experienced that students are capable of having brilliant conversation whether the discussion is all about a research newspaper for category, or a dialogue about the possible warfare in Korea. Both Mister. Williams, and Mrs. Regato said that the workload after school is considered the most difficult element of teaching to deal with.
Mrs. Rivera said that she spends two to three hours following school performing paperwork. However Mr.
Williams said that after football practice he consumes between two to several hours grading papers, tests and carrying out other paperwork. He teaches six diverse sections each day, compared to the a single class that Mrs. Regato has throughout the day. Mrs. Arroyo also said that discipline, and lack of parent involvement are also difficulties the girl comes across teaching.
She explained, I do have a minor in psychology, so I make an effort to put personally in the father and mother shoes. I actually try to stay positive and understand father and mother situations, but have to get the way of how students should improvement. Mister. Williams agreed with Mrs. Rivera’s comments.
This individual said that with the high school level there is an even greater not enough parental participation then inside the elementary universities. In conclusion from the two interviews, I have discovered both some of the positives, and negatives of teaching. Paperwork, and lack of parent involvement seem to be the most hard problems to overcome.
