In accordance to Dougherty, it is generally accepted that death may be the “indefinite object” (Dougherty) of “The Land of the House of Usher” but since we take a moment to read the poem that rests inside the text, we may discover “evidence of a even more culturally and historically particular source for Usher’s terror” (Dougherty). This source, in Dougherty’s judgment, is a “wild and mournful interlude” to the tale that “so strongly impresses the narrator, Jason derulo dreams nostalgically about an old ruler who also sits by a glorious throne” (Dougherty). The lord in the poem seeks enjoyment and needs peace of mind of his superiority. This point of view gives all of us something new to consider when we consider the blood that was dumping in America. Dougherty maintains that Americans are not just consumed with disease but likewise tainted blood introduced by another competition. An interesting theory that offers back to the notion of blood vessels and unknown. Poe could not explain the deaths of those around him. The pain of damage was aggravated by the not enough knowledge in relation to death.
The Fall of the House of Usher” is actually a story that tells us a lot of things about mankind. We find out how life encounter can manifest itself through skill and act as an outlet pertaining to feelings of isolation, soreness, despair, loss, and dread. Poe manages to capture these emotions with narrators that linger for the edge of sanity and other characters that seem to dance headlong to a vat of bubbling madness. The fatality that comes forth from this adventure is shrouded in secret and the condition preceding up to the death can be just as mysterious, if not more. Poe is usually reflecting after the loss of life that he witnessed during most of his life. Tuberculosis and consumption were only two of the things which snatched your life away from harmless individuals any kind of time age. Madeline’s mysterious disease is never solved and her death just creates a higher impression of stress within the narrator. Fatality only removes the physical body, departing the emotional to take above. The tale as well reveals additional aspects of society that were of interest.
